About This Blog

My first wife passed away in a car accident in 2003, leaving me alone with two young children. In the wake of this tragedy, I sought the advice of people who had been down a similar path of loss and grief. Now I am reaching out to help others who may have recently lost a spouse.

I am a pastor, chaplain, and author. The posts on this site will reflect my strong Christian faith.

Some of the material you will see here comes from early drafts of a book I am writing for widows and widowers. I encourage your feedback as I seek to make this material even more helpful for those who are grieving.

I am not a professional counselor nor a medical doctor. I am a simple man who has found his faith tested through very difficult circumstances, and I want to help others as they travel through similar life-challenges.

Since the death of my first wife, God brought another wonderful woman into my life (God created two women who could be married to me!), and we have added two more children to our family. Though the path to these blessings has been filled with challenges, I am forever grateful for all the Lord has done in our lives!
